Yes. The Internal Revenue Service granted Trevors New Day Foundation 501(c)(3) exemption status as of October 26, 2020.

Is my donation tax deductible?

The short answer is: Yes.

The long answer is: It depends on the value of your donation. Currently your donation is 100% deductible up to a value equal to 30% of your yearly Adjusted Gross Income (AGI).

When the foundation is reclassified as a Private Operating Foundation, your donation will be 100% deductible up to a value equal to 50% of our yearly Adjusted Gross Income (AGI).

How is Trevor's New Day Foundation classified by the IRS?

The foundation is currently a classified as a private foundation.

In August 2021 we submitted a reclassification request to the IRS. We have requested reclassification as a Private Operating Foundation.

We learned a lot about ourselves and supporters during the first 10 months of our first year. We discovered other private foundations, donor advised funds, and members of the public continue to express interest in supporting the foundation. We also found ourselves actively involved in charitable activities in addition to providing financial support for local public charities. Thus we are pursuing reclassification.

I want to support the foundation, how can I send a donation?

See the "donate" page for current ways to donate.

The easiest way, that does not involve provider management fees, is to send a check to the foundation. Simply address the check to Trevors New Day Foundation and send to this address:
